Two new departments have been established at Skipti, Human Capital and Business Services.
Human Capital will focus on human relations strategy at corporate level as well as providing the group companies with HR related services. Business Services will provide subsidiaries with various business services, including management of real estate, vehicles, payroll, safety and security and food services. Ketill B. Magnússon is Vice President of Human Capital and Jóhannes S. Rúnarsson is Vice President of Business Services.
Ketill B. Magnússon has worked for 7 years at Skipti and Síminn. He started as a director of strategic planning, then as an internal management and HR consultant and finally as a director of Human Resources, Training and Development. Ketill has a MA degree in philosophy from University of Saskatchewan, Canada and an MBA degree from ESADE Business School in Spain.
Jóhannes S. Rúnarsson has been with Skipti, and before that Síminn, for 20 years. He started in finance, became a HR manager and then VP of HR. Jóhannes has a degree in business administration, from the University of Iceland.
These structural changes are a part of Skipti‘s strategy to provide the companies in the group with professional services with emphasis on core competency and clear management responsibility. These changes will lead to improved service, more professionalism and efficiency. Skipti plans a further growth in the next few years and these changes are vital to support that growth.
